Dundee Exhibition

We were very proud to share our exhibition "Through Our Eyes, In Our Words" in Dundee in June. 

There are some photos below of the exhibition.

The exhibition was about how mid-older age people with learning disabilities and mid-older age LGBT+ people are included in their communities.

We used photographs and words our participants sent us to show their experiences.

We will hold more exhibitions in other parts of England and Scotland. 

 Collaboration Session 

We held a collaboration session online for people who are part of IncludeAge to look at some photos and words from project participants.

We talked about what these photos showed us, and how and where participants felt at home. This helped us to learn more about inclusion.

Event at University of Hertfordshire

Richard was given some money to create a poster that explains some of his work. His poster is about some work he did with co-researchers. The work was about helping people to communicate better with LGBT+ people in health and education.

Flourishing Lives

This picture shows a poster about the role of history in the way we work with people who are LGBT+.

The picture was made during a workshop that Richard did for IncludeAge with Queer Heritage South.

British Society of Gerontology Conference

Richard and Kathryn gave a presentation at the British Society of Gerontology in June this year.

The presentation was about how politics and rights can affect LGBT+ participants. The audience were interested in how co-researchers help with analysis. 

Workshops with People with Learning Disabilities

There were three workshops with people with learning disabilities to look at some data from the project.

In the workshops people used pictures to make sense of some of the things participants have told us.

It was really helpful to have some new ideas from the people who came to the workshops.
