News Updates

Welcome New Gold Group Members

Gold Group are welcoming Sallie and Martin as new members.

 Sallie and Martin are already co-researchers.

They will now be advisory group members too.

IncludeAge Pet

Judith has a new dog named Kalli.

  Please welcome Kalli to IncludeAge.

Interview Update

We have done almost 80 life course interviews.

Place Study Update

We have sent out 5 tablets for the Place Study.

Ethics Application has been Submitted

We have submitted the ethics application for the next part of IncludeAge.

Once it has been approved, we will begin finding participants for Social Network Mapping and Organisational Interviews.

Outreach

Hannah Attended the DAVID Project Conference

Our co-researcher Hannah attended an event called the DAVID Project. 

This event was about mourning friends and loved ones.

It was hosted by People First Merseyside.

At the event, Hannah talked about her work as a co-researcher on IncludeAge.

Meeting with Scottish Government

Laura met with a manager for Age Equality and Older People (Scottish Government). 

They talked about how IncludeAge can help make new policies for inclusion of older people.

Meetings about Policy in Scotland

Laura and Judith will attend the Social Isolation and Loneliness Advisory Group.

They will also attend the Older People’s Forum.

Both groups provide advice to the Scottish Government about including older people.

Later this year, the Scottish Government will update the Fairer Scotland for Older People policy framework.

IncludeAge has been invited to advise them when this happens.

New IncludeAge YouTube Channel

IncludeAge now has a YouTube channel.

 We will share short videos on the project there.
