Keeping in Touch with Our Community

IncludeAge e-newsletters will be distributed on the first Monday of every month. We will share information on the project, upcoming activities and events, ways to participate, project resources, and more.

IncludeAge provides it's newsletter in two different formats - Standard Newsletter and Newsletter in Easy Read. If you know of anyone who would be interested in receiving IncludeAge project updates via one of these formats, please share our Newsletter subscription page with them.

Welcoming Mei back to IncludeAge!

As of March 11, 2024, we are thrilled to welcome Dr. Mei Lan Fang back to the project. Mei is IncludeAge's Co-Principal Investigator and has been on maternity leave since June 2023. Mei has also started a new position as Assistant Professor in Urban Aging at Urban Studies and the Department of Gerontology at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, Canada. She will continue as a Visiting Research Associate in the School of Health Sciences at the University of Dundee.

Welcome: Dr Laura Roe - New WP5 Co-Lead

IncludeAge has a new project member - Dr Laura Roe. Laura will be working as co-lead on Work Package 5 whilst Jenna Breckenridge is on maternity leave. Laura has recently joined us at University of Dundee in Scotland as a lecturer. Welcome, Laura!!

Project Participant Recruitment

A huge thank you to the partner organisations and individuals who are currently supporting recruitment across the project - the work that is being done is really beginning to show in our participant numbers with 43 participants so far. We are aiming to reach 50 participants by the end of April 2024.

Project Participant Interviews

We have now completed 9 interviews with people who have Learning Disabilities, and 34 interviews with people who are LGBT+, with more in the pipeline. A lay summary of key preliminary findings will be shared in the coming months.

Outreach

Outreach Activities

Outreach lies at the heart of our mission, serving as a bridge between IncludeAge and diverse groups, organizations, and individuals committed to fostering age-friendly environments. Visit our Participation Opportunities and Community Activities pages to hear stories of our outreach endeavors, initiatives, and partnerships aimed at amplifying our message and engaging with stakeholders worldwide.

Our new project member Laura is currently reaching out to former policy colleagues from her time in the Scottish Government to kickstart policy conversations and spread awareness of the project within policy spheres.

Laura is also currently setting up some social media pages, including Instagram and Facebook, to increase our online presence and generate engagement with diverse online communities. We will share these links when they have been created.
