The DISCOVERY Community Advisory Group
The DISCOVERY group will be meeting again in February.
We will discuss workshops that we want to run.
Life Course Interviews
We have now done almost 120 Life Course Interviews.
46 are with people with learning disabilities.
72 are with people who are LGBT+
Place Study Update
We have sent out over 40 tablets for the Place Study.
21 were sent to people with learning disabilities.
18 were sent to people who are LGBT+.
Making Story Maps
We are making Story Maps with participants who have finished the Place Study.
These Story Maps are about the things people have told us in the Place Study.
Organisational Interviews
We have completed 32 Organisational Interviews.
We want to find out how these organisations include people with learning disabilities and people who are LGBT+.
LGBT+ Workshops
Richard and LGBT+ co-researchers have created some workshops.
These are for healthcare workers and teachers.
The workshops will train participants how to be sensitive to LGBT+ people of all ages.
LGBT+ Month at Hertfordshire
Richard is also working with LGBT+ networks at the University of Hertfordshire.
He will help develop policies to be more inclusive for LGBT+ people at the university.
