Welcome to our IncludeAge Newsletter!

We are enjoying the cosy warm autumn colours here in Dundee, and looking forward to lots of workshops.

Project Update

As our data generation phases draw to a close (wow!) we have: 

• Completed 154 life course interviews
• Had the privilege of 69 participants taking part in the Place Study using tablets, with a grand total of 770 surveys submitted
• Finished 35 follow-up interviews with a few more to go
• Undertaken 65 Organisational Interviews with different types of organisations in our communities
• Brought together 17 Social Network Analyses

Workshops as Part of Work Packages 3 and 4

Lots of online and in-person events have been underway in recent weeks, including four Deliberative Dialogue workshops, and two Listening for Directions sessions already completed.

We have upcoming events in the next three months including Research into Action, Evidence into Practice, and Evidence into Action workshops - look out for invitations and links!

Recent Presentations

Judith gave three workshops in Malaysia on Community Based Participatory research approaches using the IncludeAge project’s focus on involvement across the project to illustrate the value and principles of Community Based Participatory Research (CBPR).

The workshops were well received and information shared during them will be used to craft an online CBPR training resource in Malay for health science and medical students and researchers. This will be the first such resource for participatory research in Malaysia and indicates the strong international reach of the project. 

Pat and Mei also gave a keynote presentation for the Research Impact Canada’s annual conference focused on IncludeAge and the impact of effective co-researching methodology for impact

LGBT+ Retreat Day

Our co-researchers and co-sectoral partners who are focused on the LGBT+ pathway of IncludeAge met in Glasgow for a one-day retreat. It was a really positive and helpful day, although travelling home during Storm Amy proved to be quite a challenge for many!!
