This is our first newsletter of 2026.

We hope you have had a good winter so far.

Below are some of the things we have been doing on the IncludeAge project in the past two months.

We are holding an IncludeAge exhibition in Nottingham.

It is called “Through Our Eyes/In Our Words”.

The exhibition is about the places people have told us about in the Place Study.

There will be an LGBTQ+ workshop in Nottingham. You can find out more about that HERE

We are planning a Showcase Event for the end of the IncludeAge project in May.

We will share more about this event over the next few months. 

We are also creating a Serious Game based on what our participants have told us.

A Serious Game is a game designed to help people solve problems.

We have been accepted to give a presentation at the International Association of Geriatrics and Gerontology conference in Amsterdam. 

Richard and one of our co-researchers will travel to this. 

Mei has been awarded the Emerging Community-Engaged Researcher Award from Simon Fraser University’s Community Engaged Research Initiative.

The award is because Mei has helped to create more inclusive ways to do research by working together with people and their communities.

Mei, Pat and Becky gave a presentation at an online seminar called “Collective of Older Adult Researchers (COAR): Intergenerational Citizen Science in Action”

The presentation was about doing meaningful co-researching with older people.
