The Project

The IncludeAge project wants to look at how older people are included.
These are older people with learning disabilities or those who are LGBT+.

The information that the project finds can be used to include older people better in their communities.

Being included is a human right and is important for a meaningful life.

The experiences of older people with learning disabilities and those who are LGBT+ are not well known.

The project wants to learn about their experiences so they can be included.

IncludeAge wants to:

• understand experiences of older people in the past and today.
• learn how to make inclusive spaces with and for them.
• shape policies that support the inclusion of older people who have learning disabilities and those who are LGBT+.

The tasks of the project are:

• use different ways to understand people’s experiences.
• hold workshops and interviews.
• use the information for ideas on making inclusive communities.
• share what they learn with others.
