Making a difference (short-term and long-term impact):
To make a difference, our project will:
Develop real-time ways to generate information about community experiences.
Create comprehensive understandings of how and where inclusion and exclusion works.
Encourage conversations about the needs and experiences of diverse older people.
Raise awareness of the lived experiences of middle to older aged people with Learning Disabilities and LGBT+ people which can then be used to inform the development of inclusive places and spaces.
Provide opportunities for our project participants and ourselves to develop skills and knowledge.
Stimulate and inform public discourse to encourage the empowerment of middle to older aged people with Learning Disabilities and LGBT+ people.
Help to shape policy and practice on the development of inclusive communities.
